Our associates are our hotels’ most important assets and we strive to select the most talented. Utilizing WHI’s proprietary selection tool developed by the Gallup Organization, we selectively recruit the most talented General Managers and associates in the market. WHI’s Gallup selection tool assists us in matching the talents of associates to the right job. Simply put, we place “a round peg in a round hole” in both customer-facing and non- customer-facing positions.
The operations division at WHI provides key support and direction for every aspect of hotel management. Each WHI hotel is fully equipped with specific recruiting, training, and labor management programs, as well as systematic standard cost controls.
WHI provides financial services to over 90 hotels: currently 32 hotels are managed by Winegardner & Hammons, Inc. and 60 hotels are managed by John Q. Hammons Hotels.

An aggressive on site commissioned sales force is led by management and supported by our experienced national sales team who are responsible for providing key services to maximize hotel revenues and profits.
WHI's Construction division is responsible for satisfying the needs of our customers by providing quality hotel products. Our construction division provides various disciplines including our unique METS (Maintenance, Energy, Telecommunications, and Safety) program.
