John Q. Hammons joins Roy E. Winegardner in founding a private, independent hotel management company. They entered into a development agreement with Holiday Inns, Inc. to develop Holiday Inns. |

Winegardner & Hammons corporate office is established in Cincinnati, Ohio. |

Winegardner & Hammons is incorporated. By the end of the 1960's, the company constructed almost three dozen Holiday Inn hotels. |

John Q. Hammons establishes another hotel management company in Springfield, Missouri.

J. Erik Kamfjord is named Senior Vice President of Operations for
Winegardner & Hammons, Inc. |

Roy E. Winegardner is named Vice Chairman of the board of Holiday Inns, Inc. He serves for 10 years as Chairman and CEO, helping to shape the hospitality industry. |
| 1978 |
J. Erik Kamfjord is named President and CEO of WHI. He develops the business plan which still guides WHI today. In
addition to managing hotels for the company's owners, WHI expands to manage properties for third-party hotel owners and
diversifies its portfolio to include other brands. |

WHI begins providing accounting and financial services for John Q. Hammons Hotels, Inc. |
| 1983 |
WHI enters into its first joint venture development with a major financial institution as its partner. |
| 1987 |
WHI is selected by major financial institutions to professionally manage hotel properties under various brands during the depressed real estate market of the late 80's and early 90's. |
| 1994 |
WHI emerges as one of the first franchises to be selected to grow the full service Marriott brand. |
| 1996 |
WHI opens its first full-service Marriott hotel, the Cincinnati Marriott Northeast. The success of this venture leads
to the continued development of new construction of upscale, full-service hotels. |

Leadership changes are announced for Winegardner & Hammons, Inc. John Q. Hammons becomes vice chairman of WHI, with Roy E. Winegardner remaining as vice chairman. J.
Erik Kamfjord assumes the role of chairman of the board while remaining as chief executive officer (CEO). Keith Daub is named
the president and chief operating officer (COO). Mike Conway is promoted to senior
vice president marketing. |

John Q. Hammons is recognized by his peers for his monumental role in shaping the U.S. Hotel Industry by being named "Corporate Hotelier of the World" sponsored by HOTELS Magazine. |
| 2004 |
Kent Bruggeman promoted to senior vice president of operations and human resources. Keith Daub assumes responsibility for development.
Roy E. Winegardner and John Q. Hammons are inducted into the Hospitality Industry Hall of Honor. The Hall of Honor was created at the Conrad N. Hilton College at the University of Houston.

Today, WHI remains committed to its sound business plan of developing new economically viable hotels which deliver an appropriate return on investment and continues to seek management opportunities that are consistent with the principles outlined in its mission statement.
