CINCINNATI, OH September 11, 2000 - Marriott International, Inc. (MAR / NYSE) in conjunction with Winegardner & Hammons

full-service Marriott Hotel at the Union Centre development.
The new Cincinnati Marriott North Hotel officially opens for business today at 2 p.m. The 295-room,
full-service hotel is located equidistant between Cincinnati and Dayton at I-75 and Union Centre Boulevard.
This new full-service Marriott is part of the flourishing Union Centre development. It is adjacent to the
Centre Point Office Park (a Class A office park) and other facilities in the Union Centre development including
Procter & Gamble's Corporate Packaging Group and the Manufacturing and Supply Technology Group. The new Marriott
also is close to General Electric, Tote's Isotoner, Cintas, and International Cornerstone. Area attractions include
Paramount's Kings Island, Tri-County Mall, Cincinnati Zoo, and the Cincinnati Reds & Bengals.
The Cincinnati Marriott North Hotel features 14,000 square feet of meeting space, nine executive boardrooms,
comprehensive audio and visual services, an indoor pool and fitness center, a concierge level and lounge, and
over 200 guest rooms that are designated the "Room That Works®." These rooms are specially designed for the business
traveler and are offered at no extra charge. The rooms include a large console table and writing desk with adjustable
ergonomic chair, moveable desk light, two-line telephones, and a data port.
All guest rooms at the new Cincinnati Marriott North also feature ultra-comfortable pillow-top mattresses and
luxurious duvet comforters-a velvety soft, down-filled comforter with rich fabrics and colors. The Cincinnati
Marriott North is among the first Marriott hotels in the U.S. to feature this decidedly upscale pillow-top mattress/duvet
comforter combination.

The Cincinnati Marriott North is the 10th joint venture for Winegardner & Hammons and The Western and Southern Life

The Cincinnati Marriott Northeast, which opened in 1996, was the first full-service Marriott developed by the
