ALL-NEW CLEVELAND MARRIOTT EAST OPENING IN SEPTEMBER APPOINTS

CLEVELAND, OH - August 11, 2005 - In preparation for the
September arrival of the upscale, full-service, Cleveland
Marriott East, Todd Raburn was appointed
General Manager and currently oversees recruiting and the
pre-opening sales office, which has officially opened at 2000
Auburn Drive, Suite 450 in Beachwood, according to Winegardner
& Hammons, Inc., the hotel's management company. This
17-year industry veteran, a former general manager in the
Columbus, Ohio area, has also been an executive chef and is
accustomed to catering to the needs of his community. "It's
an exciting time to be a part of welcoming back the Marriott
flag in this part of Cleveland and the first full-service
hotel in Warrensville Heights," stated Raburn. "I
am also looking forward to building great partnerships within
the fine communities of Beachwood, Shaker Heights, Woodmere
and Chagrin Falls."
This stunning, eight-story, 295-room hotel is nestled on 10-acres
in the world-class corporate community of Chagrin Highlands,
within the heart of the Cleveland East/Beachwood area. It
will also debut Marriott's luxurious new bedding package,
one of many outstanding amenities that will capture the attention
of meeting planners and guests. The Cleveland Marriott East
will feature 14,800 square-feet of flexible meeting space,
to include the largest hotel ballroom in the area, an impressive,
7,500 square-foot ballroom, which can comfortably accommodate
up to 700 attendees for banquets and themed events. "This
development at Chagrin Highlands is another step toward making
Cleveland a stronger city," stated Mayor Jane L. Campbell.
The Cleveland Marriott East will also provide eight executive
boardrooms, combined with state-of-the-art technology, including

With the recent commencement of the pre-opening sales office,
the hotel has booked to date an incredible 1.5 million, which
