CINCINNATI, OH July 31, 2000 - The Cincinnati Airport Marriott was named the “best hotel in overall product”
among all 47 full-service Marriott hotels in the Midwest region at the recent
Marriott Midwest Conference in St. Louis. The elegant hotel is managed by
Cincinnati-based Winegardner & Hammons, Inc.
The “overall product” award was based on Guest Satisfaction Surveys. It was
one of four prestigious awards that the Cincinnati Airport Marriott received at
the conference. The other three Midwest Marriott awards, which also were based
on Guest Satisfaction Surveys, were: “number one in upkeep of guest rooms”
(based on appearance and functionality) “number one in overall satisfaction with
lunch quality and service;” and “most friendly front desk.”
These four awards are the most recent in a series of impressive honors the
Cincinnati Airport Marriott has received since it opened last October. Earlier
this year, the hotel was rated in the top three nationally among all
full-service Marriott hotels located near airports in service, product quality
and guest satisfaction. It also received the prestigious “Marriott Performance
Excellence” award for 1999—an honor based on Guest Satisfaction Surveys that was
bestowed on only eight full-service Marriott hotels nationwide.
“The fact that we were able to open the hotel with such a high standard of
customer service has helped us distinguish ourselves as among Marriott’s premier
hotels,” says Bill Coughlin, general manager of the Cincinnati Airport Marriott.
Located at 2395 Progress Drive just ½ mile from the Cincinnati/Northern
Kentucky International Airport, the Cincinnati Airport Marriott features 14,000
square feet of flexible meeting space and 295 elegantly appointed guest rooms.
More than two hundred of the guest rooms are designated the “Room That Works®.”
These rooms are specially designed for the business traveler and are offered at
no extra charge. The rooms include a large console table and writing desk with
adjustable ergonomic chair, moveable desk light, two-line telephones, and a data
port.
Other amenities offered to guests of the Cincinnati Airport Marriott are a
business center, comprehensive in-house audiovisual services, indoor lap pool,
executive fitness center, the RiverCity Grille Restaurant and Lounge, and a
Concierge Level and Lounge.
