    Cincinnati Marriott Northeast's Event Management Team to Receive Special Achievement Award

    CINCINNATI, OH — April 6, 2004 - A special ceremony honoring the entire Event Management Team of the Cincinnati Marriott Northeast will be held Thursday, April 8 at 6pm at the hotel. The Special Achievement Award will recognize the team for their extraordinary efforts managing the hotel’s many special events and groups throughout the year, and is a symbol of their pride in representing and promoting the hotel. The Cincinnati Marriott Northeast is the only Marriott franchise in North America to receive this Award.

    David Lanterman, General Manager of the hotel, said, "It takes great people to make teamwork. Our hotel boasts the best group of individuals within any Event Management Department, from Dishwasher to Executive Chef, from Banquet Houseman to Sales Manager. Our team focuses on one thing — customer satisfaction. The great thing about this award ceremony is that everyone is involved."

    The hotel’s Management team includes Sarah Miker, Sales Coordinator, Lisa Birck and Cathy Gamble, Sales & Catering Account Managers; Toni Heilman and Shelly Delaney, Sales Account Managers; Executive Chef John Walsh; and Dave Sundermann, Banquet Director.

    Sarah, Lisa, Cathy, Shelly and Toni work closely with their customers to ensure every detail is addressed for every event hosted at the hotel. Their attention to detail consistently ranks the hotel in the top three in the Midwest in overall planning satisfaction surveys for Marriott.

    The Banquet and Culinary teams, although behind the scenes, are also vitally important to the success of any event. Executive Chef Walsh and his staff ranked within the top 10% of all North American Marriott hotels in many categories, and in 2003, ranked in the top 5% in overall service. Also in 2003, the Banquet Team, headed by Dave Sundermann, finished in the top 5% of all full-service Marriott Hotels in overall satisfaction.
