PITTSBURGH MARRIOTT NORTH WINS MARRIOTT INTERNATIONAL HOTEL
OF THE YEAR AWARD
CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa (March 23, 2006 ) - The Pittsburgh
Marriott North at Cranberry Woods rose above 337 Marriott
Hotels and Resorts in North America to be named 2005 Hotel
of the Year by Marriott International on Tuesday, March 21,
2006. The prestigious honor was announced at the Annual General
Manager's Meeting by President and Chief Operating Officer,
Robert McCarthy, of the Marriott North America Lodging Operations
division.
"We are extremely excited to be named North America's
Hotel of the Year," said Pittsburgh Marriott North General
Manager Ron Antonucci. "The award recognizes the excellent
service our guests experience every time they visit our hotel.
It is a testament to our associates who work hard to exceed
our customer's expectations and to embrace Marriott's core
values."
The award is based on several criteria, including excellence
in associate satisfaction, guest satisfaction, quality assurance
and financial performance. The Pittsburgh Marriott North at
Cranberry Woods stood above its competition by being the sole
hotel to meet or exceed Marriott's highest standards in all
categories of guest satisfaction.
The hotel also recently won several awards at Marriott's
Annual Eastern Regional Meeting in February. The Pittsburgh
Marriott North stole the show as it received five awards during
the meeting. The hotel was recognized for excellence in these

In-Room Dining
Best Overall Event Billing
