AUSTIN, TX March 30, 2004 - Marriott International recently announced that Kyle Covington, General Manager
of the Austin Marriott North, has been awarded the Sales Leadership Award for
2003.
The Sales Leadership Award is presented to the General Manager who
exemplifies sales excellence by working with his sales team in achieving the
highest sales growth in their market, compared to competitors. This is the
second consecutive Sales Leadership Award for Covington and his team.
Covington and his team have adopted a unique approach to sales. According to

After graduating from the State University of New York, Covington began his
career as an Accountant with Marriott, and in the ten years since then, has held

the Dallas/Ft. Worth Marriott South in 2000 before becoming General Manager of
the Austin Marriott North in 2001. Covington resides in Austin with his wife,
Lisa, and children Tyler, Austin and Kaitlyn.
