LEXINGTON, KY March 1, 2000 - The Embassy Suites Lexington received the highest guest satisfaction marks of
any hotel in the Embassy Suites chain for the 3-month period November-January.
The satisfaction statistics are compiled from surveys completed by guests
staying at the over 140 Embassy Suites currently operating worldwide.
Located just off I-64/75 in the new University of Kentucky Coldstream
Research Campus, the Embassy Suites Lexington opened last May as Lexington’s
first Embassy Suites. The luxurious Embassy Suites Lexington is managed by
Cincinnati-based Winegardner & Hammons, Inc. (WHI). WHI also developed the
hotel.
“The entire staff is very proud of our new hotel, and it obviously shows in
the outstanding guest satisfaction marks the property has received,” said Brian
Perkins, General Manager of the Embassy Suites Lexington. “Our extensive
customer service training program has been emphasized from the beginning, and
I’m very excited to be a part of the team that has made this property one of the
favorite hotels in the Embassy chain,” said Perkins, who became the hotel’s
general manager in January.
The Embassy Suites Lexington features 230 spacious two-room suites, 14,000
square feet of flexible meeting space, five executive boardrooms, three
conference suites, a full-service restaurant and lounge, business center, indoor
pool, and executive fitness center.
Every two-room suite features a private bedroom and separate living room with
sofa-bed and dining/work table. Value-added amenities include a coffee maker,
refrigerator, microwave, wet bar, and two remote-control TVs with cable. The
hotel also provides the latest technology requested by today’s business
travelers, such as telephones with two lines and dataports for computer hook-up
in each guest suite, voice mail, and state-of-the-art teleconferencing
capabilities.
Also, a cooked-to-order breakfast and evening reception are offered daily to
guests at no additional charge.
Set in the heart of the University of Kentucky’s Coldstream Research Campus,
the Embassy Suites is just five minutes from downtown Lexington and convenient
