Birmingham Marriott Names General Manager; Sales Staff is Complete

BIRMINGHAM, AL — January 11, 1999 - Winegardner & Hammons, Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of five key sales and managerial staff for the new Birmingham Marriott, located at 3590 Grandview Parkway. They include Larry Cooper, General Manager; Ashley Condon and Debbie Higgins, Sales Account Managers; Allison Hale and Anna Fowler, Sales & Catering Account Managers.

Larry Cooper comes to the Marriott following four years as general manager of the Radisson Suite Resort in Sand Key, Florida. A graduate of the University of Cincinnati, he has held management posts in Winegardner & Hammons hotels for all of his 17 years with the company.

Slated to open in mid-March, the Birmingham Marriott features 295 guest rooms, the RiverCity Grille Restaurant and Lounge, a Concierge Level and Lounge, and 14,000 square feet of flexible meeting space.
