WASHINGTON January 31, 2002 - Winegardner and Hammons, Inc. announced today that it would endorse the proposed
hotel/motel tax increase presented by Mayor Charlie Luken and Hamilton County
Commissioner Todd Portune to help fund an expanded Albert B. Sabin Cincinnati
Convention Center. Winegardner & Hammons, Inc., based in Blue Ash, Ohio
manages eight hotels in the Greater Cincinnati area: Cincinnati Marriott
Northeast, Cincinnati Marriott North, Cincinnati Airport Marriott, Cincinnati

Mike Conway, Senior Vice President of Marketing for WHI said today, “The
